I think Gary's thoughts are good, but to try and
discuss national energy policy in the Minneapolis
Mayor's race shows how out of touch the Greens are.
The City of Minneapolis alone can do little to change
the energy debate alone and that should be item 50 on
the list of City problems.
Energy policy is a national / internatiuonal issue and
needs to be dealt with by Congress and the President.
The recent energy bill is a disaster.
But to accuse Rybeck and McLaughlin of not discussing
energy policy shows how out of touch some Greens are.
I expect Mayoral candidates to talk about crime,
stadiums, mass transit, streets, infrastructure,
before they talk about the price of gas.
