Just a note about the $1.1 billion - it's what the tax is estimated to raise over 30 years, not necessarily what will be spent.

The current estimate of public stadium costs, including interest, upkeep and Ballpark Commission costs, is about $450 million. Now it's true that future leaders could find a way to spend more on the ballpark, but the bottom line is that the $1.1 billion over 30 years is a project of revenues over the life of the tax NOT an obligation to spend that much.

I'm not supporting or opposing the stadium here, just trying to give folks the best information.
