I see where most of the 8th Ward candidates favor a smoking ban repeal citing their belief that the ban is hurting Minneapolis small business owners. But what about hurting small business workers and the amount we as a society pay for smoking-related health care issues? It appears the tobacco and liquor lobby have been pushing the repeal hard as they should for their clients. Have the anti-smoking advocates been just as relentless or are they resting after their Minneapolis victory? How is this issue affecting the other city council races? Bill Dooley Kenny REMINDERS: 1.
