Lets not forget the real issue here…

 

As crime is increasing in Mpls, is our Mayor working to improve things or
suddenly making promises?

 

I remember many posters (Vicky especially) talking about the police cuts
years ago.  This outcome should be no surprise as the breakdown in law was
predicted then.  To now argue that we had no money or this is caused solely
due to the “Clinton cop cuts” would require us to ignore the other city
programs that continue with ample funding.  Things like NRP and funding
private developers’ condo projects to name two. I suspect there are others….


 

It is my opinion that Rybak let the police cuts take place while he retained
funding for politically popular programs.   We are paying the price now.


It seems to me Delmonico could have made the same point and not mention New
Orleans.  Too bad his point is lost due to a horrible comparison.  Not too
bright.
