Fact vs. Fiction:  One Family, Two Writers, Three Books.

Join brothers and writers Michael Phillips and Arthur Phillips for an exclusive, one-night only engagement for The Friends' Fact vs. Fiction event at on Monday, September 19 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the Theatre de la Jeune Lune (105 N. 1st St., Minneapolis).

Nationally-acclaimed writers and Minneapolis-born brothers Arthur Phillips and Michael Phillips return home for an intimate conversation about their influences, their work and the differences between fact and fiction writing. Arthur Phillips, author of Prague and The Egyptologist, received the Los Angeles Times/Art Seidenbaum prize for best first novel and the New York Times Notables Book distinction. Michael Phillips is a reporter for the Wall Street Journal and the author of the 2005 critically-acclaimed book, A Gift of Valor: A War Story, which chronicles the life of Marine Corporal Jason Dunham in Iraq.

Reception of appetizers and deserts with cash bar at 7:00 and program begins at 7:45 followed by a book sale and signing.
