TN:

What's more disturbing to me is that in the case, the
interests of the Stonewall caucus and the Police
Federation were identical. I'm puzzled, since many
GLBTGLBTple have been harrharassedpolice.

I've made a lot of very sharp and possibly insulting
remarks about Peter McLaMcLaughin Vice President
LillLilligrenlthough I regret any personal bad
feelings, my views about the MineMinenapolisice were
punched in to me buy the fist of a Minneapolis Cop 6
years ago and I will never forget.

I would also point out that the MPD MPD made small
improvements in the past four years, albeit grudgingly
and resentfully.

I personally like Robert (the human being, not the
Vice President,) however politically I see Robert,
Peter McLaughlin and Gary SchiSchiffPolice Federation
stooges, all using the NixoNixonesquemes of bringing
about "law and order" from our "crime ridden, lawless
city" in order to serve the "silent majority."

This is toubtroublingCandidate Robert
LillLilligrenpaigned as a progressive. However, since
his votes to scrap civicivilianiew, his comments about
CUAPCUAPBnder Michelle Gross in the Southwest Journal,
and his passionate plea for an MDP MDPider (a la John
LauxLaux police chief, he's lost his claim to the
progressive seat of Brian CoylCoylem NilaNiland now
Dean ZimmZimmermann
Peter McLaughlin seems to also have revived the
NixoNixonesqueative campaign tactics.

I've come to the painful conclusion that we already
have a Vice President in Washington who believes it's
ok fok law enforcement to abuse people. We don't need
another one on the Minneapolis City Council, and we
certainly don't need someone like this in the Mayor's
office!

I don't believe that Vice President LillLilligren
anything to do with the the FBI investigation, but I
never bought into the legitimacy of the first two
corruption scandals.

If the FBI wanted to bust an elected official who took
campaign money inapinappropriatelyey should be in
Washington D.C., bringing about charges against Vice
President HallHalliburtoner I mean Cheney.
Minneapolis is the wrong place, but I suppose, with
Congressional elections next year, that might be too
polipoliticallyaging...oh the irony.

Oh well, at least we still have Dick Nixon to kick
around!
