Given the importance of this race, it would be nice to hear some more
substantive issues (beyond personal opinions about the photographs in a
magazine owned by the spouse of one of the candidates) discussed
regarding the 5th Ward campaign. I am someone who likes and respects
both candidates very much and think they both have have a great deal to
offer, in different ways, to the city. I find it very unfortunate that
they are running against each other.
So, just to spark off some debate, here is a question regarding that
race: If Natalie Johnson Lee is supposedly so beholden to
landlords/property rights interests, why did she, and not Don Samuels,
get endorsed by ACORN?
