I read about this event in the Southwest Journal, but it was not on the DFL Schedule of Events (http://scc.net/~t-bonham/MPLS2005EV.HTM), which is one of the more comprehensive lists of candidate events. It seems that the DFL site doesn't list events that do not include DFL endorsed candidates - though it lists nearly all of the mayoral debates. The local newspapers typically list events with advanced notice. You can also link to candidates' web sites for upcoming forums and other events for the various candidates, though I've found these sites are variable in their listing of events.

This forum is my primary source of information for local politics. (1) Can this forum be better utilized to keep citizens informed of upcoming events? Any suggestions? A weekly post by the moderator or another volunteer with a preview of upcoming events? (2) Are there other online sources I should be aware of that might keep me better informed (community calendars, etc)? P Michael Mackey, Uptown REMINDERS: 1. Be civil!
