There is a great resource available in the Community Connections Calendar:
http://ccc.localevent.net/

This is a great way for people to find events in one centralized location. However, more people need to participate and post their events. If every community organization committed to posting events on this calendar, it would be easy to see how many different ways people could become engaged in their communities. It would also help to avoid scheduling conflicts, as groups could easily see what else is happening on a particular date.
