Midtown Greenway Land Use and Development Plan
 

What will the area along the Midtown Greenway look like in the future?  What
kind of housing will be built?  Where are the best places for restaurants,
offices, and retail stores?  Where will new open spaces be?  What will new
development look like?

 

How does this all affect you??

 

The City of Minneapolis is working with communities and organizations along
the Midtown Greenway from West Lake Street to Hiawatha Avenue to prepare a
land use plan.  The Midtown Greenway is the bike path that runs from west to
east parallel to Lake Street.  The plan will be a long-term vision for the
area and create strategies for achieving that vision.  A Steering Committee
has been engaged and a series of six public meetings are helping to guide
the work, which is anticipated to be complete by the end of this year.
