The peculiar style and the misspellings indicate that this piece of drivel was likely
composed by Dave Tilsen, co-chair of "Zimmerman for Justice," Zimmermann's
defense committee. Indeed, one witness believes that it was his spouse, Barb Tilsen,
who distributed these flyers at the candidate forum. Regardless of whether it was Ms. Tilsen, the woman who did distribute this was reportedly hanging out with the
Bicking/Zimmermann contingent.
Even Hedda Hopper and Walter Winchel, two yellow journalists back in the
day, were smart enough to at least do the CYA shuffle before going to
print. You weren't there, you think it was Barb Tilsen, but whoever it
was she might have gone over to talk to some Zimmermann supporters. And
David Tilsen wrote it. Uh-huh.
One can tell you don't know Tilsen or anything about him. The man was a
printer for many years. Someone who misspells words is not a Tilsen,
certainly not a David Tilsen who lives on the western edge of Powderhorn
Park, votes in 8-2, 5'10" or so tall, about 60, an ungovernable mane of
hair. That David Tilsen can spell and use a spell checker as well.
An accusation of "peculiar style" is bourgeoisie pettifoggery.
It is reprehensible that the author of this flyer would use the names of dead activists to
further the campaign of two city council candidates, one of whom is still under
investigation for corruption. I find it particularly nauseating that the author would
butcher to the point of caricature the name of Anna Mae Pictou Aquash, an American
Indian Movement activist who was murdered and left in a ravine on Pine Ridge. .
Aha! More proof it wasn't Barb Tilsen, certainly not. Nor would it be
Dave Tilsen. If I'm not mistaken, when David was a mere pup, his father
was one of the principal lawyers for the Wounded Knee defense team. All
those folks, their children, their parents, their friends, their rellys,
knew about Anna Aquash. Some of them definitely knew Anna Aquash. They
wouldn't make that mistake.
If the Bicking and Zimmermann campaigns are stooping this low,
What's reprehensible, Mr. Raczhowski, is your accusation that the
political campaigns put out the flyer and your accusation that the
Tilsens, people you apparently do not know, were responsible for the flyer.
