One major positive contribution of Dean Zimmermann is his advocacy of Personal Rapid Transit (PRT). A system far cheaper per mile than LRT, and capable of a much finer network (stations with 3 blocks of your home) than LRT. And thus more democratic - only the well-to-do will be able to live in the newly yuppiefed areas near the relatively few LRT stations; with many more PRT stations, even poor people will be served.
