Dean's message is humorous. I am not mad at Dean Zimmermann for being less than effective on the Carriage Zoning Change. Heck, I get along well with Gary Schiff and Robert Lilligren and they also were not as effective as possible on the Carriage House proposal that each thought a good idea. I am also not mad at Dean for joining other Council People in allowing American Indian families to have quality affordable homeownership. He did what he is SUPPOSE to do to represent the Sixth Ward. That action became the basis of bringing several million dollars of Mille Lacs funding to help develop affordable housing in my neighborhood. So thank you for that Dean. Also thanks to Robert Lilligren, Scott Benson, Gary Schiff, Barb Johnson, Don Samuels, Natalie Johnson-Lee, Paul Zerby, Paul Ostrow, Barrett Lane, Lisa Goodman, and the rest. Your wise support for that Indian housing inititve will generate many millions of additional investment in affordable housing.

I must admit that I am very irritated because the PPL headquarters building does create some parking problems for the neighborhood just as predicted. I am still VERY irritated because Dean's support of the CVI project being ONLY put where it was further illegally concentrated supportive housing beds. It was an opportunity to force Minneapolis to open up the "Fortress Communities" for supportive housing and create a much healthier envirnment for the residents and their children. But then I am still irritated at some other Council People on that subject also. Council Members who I have a very good relationship

I must admit that his supporting the Sabri crime organization to exploit Somali small business people, and their treatment of women does not make me "mad" it outrages me. Of course I with Amy Klobachar had to sit through numerous stories from some of the women small business people telling of their problems and Dean chose to ignore them. Ignore them after I brought it to his attention more than one time. Yes that did outrage me. It does outrage me that for three years Dean supported a known briber of Minneapolis City govenment in every thing that gangster wanted. Offered political cover for the Sabris on every underhanded thing they attempted. Yes that does outrage me. So no Dean I am not mad at the things where we disagreed and you did not support the Neighborhoods and residents you were elected to represent. Very irritated yes. BUT, and it is a big BUT, I am outraged by your allowing Sabri to use YOU to threaten defensless Somali people and in particular those women whose crying stories I had to sit through. By the way Dean, if you are still having trouble understanding that outrage please call Amy Klobachar. I am sure she felt the same outrage I did!

Perhaps anyone else who has such doubts might also call Amy. Her depth of caring for people is only one of the reasons I support her for Senate.

Jim Graham,
Ventura Village, Sixth Ward
