Sorry John- the workers who really produce the Strib along 
with thousands of others through their unions have endorsed labor's 
candidate, Peter McLaughlin. BTW, has R.T. decided if he's going to 
veto the living wage ordinance?

Brandt:   To clarify, Strib workers have made no direct endorsement in this 
campaign, nor would they aside from what appears as the voice of the editorial 
page.  It is true that the unions to which various people at this plant belong, 
through their representative organizations, have made endorsements.  But the 
union representing newsroom workers, the Minnesota Newspaper Guild 
Typographical Union, has scrupulously avoided making direct endorsements in any 
political contests, for obvious reasons.
