What I find especially gaulling are these very same gay rights "leaders" fail
to mention that one of the biggest supporters of adding Gays, Lesbians,
Bisexuals, and TRANSGENERED people to this state's Human Rights Act was the
Roman Catholic Province of St. Paul and Minneapolis. What this means is that
the bishops that make up this province

Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis
   Diocese of Bismarck
   Diocese of Crookston
   Diocese of Duluth
   Diocese of Fargo
   Diocese of New Ulm
   Diocese of Rapid City
   Diocese of Saint Cloud
   Diocese of Sioux Falls
   Diocese of Winona

When on record as supporters. Further, they had their lobbyist testify in
favor of this admendment in committee and worked the floor for passage.

Yet these very same people seem to conveniently forget this when they need to
feed their bigotry. And they definately don't want any facts that will
disabuse them of their bigotry. They don't want to know that nationally 18% of
all Catholic School children are black, which is 5 points higher than the black
population in the United States. Or that within major cities that number goes
upto 28%. Or how about that over 90% of all Muslim children attending private
schools are going to Catholic ones. As a matter of fact the vast majority of
children attending Catholic Schools in the inner cities are non-Catholic.

Lastly, I find the "Gay Community" to much more hostile to someone being
religious within it, than I do Catholic Church Communities have with G/L/B/T
members within them.
