Some thoughts:

Turnout way down. Not sure what that means, probably most people
somewhat content and didn't feel the need to vent at the polls.

Labor is just about a spent political force in Minneapolis with PMcL
going down and a couple of other supported councilmembers candidates.
The 4th and 12th Wards are the only strong union wards remaining in the
City.

Progessive Mpls is a big winner with lots of endorsed candidates
winning. Also RT has coattails as his support for Samuals, Glidden, and
Hodges obviously the difference. Hodges margin of victory is a big
surprise for the 13th Ward.

Park Watch had the right idea but needed to recruit better candidates
(except for Nordstrom and Stone). I hope they stay active, but try not
come off as such cranks - it makes the the guys your are against look
positive in comparison.

It just floors me that in the 5th and 6th Wards where there were hard
fought, close battles between incumbents that they could only must
between 3000-3100 voters in each ward. Until the someone can
significantly increase voter turnout in these wards (9th too), someone
like RT, who's obvious strategy is to appeal to the higher voting SW
part of the City, will continue to win big in city-wide elections.
