As I finished my reply to Scott Vreeland it got me thinking that everyone who helped with this, and every election, deserves a hearty thank you.
Our city election office does an EXCELLENT job behind the scenes keeping everything running as smoothly as possible. Everyone down at the election office deserve a HUGE THANK YOU from every voter in the city. So, "THANK YOU" Susanne, Judy, Dani, Geri Lynn and everyone downtown. Also, "THANK YOU" to all the election judges that worked our polling places for your time and effots in this vital role for our democracy. I would also like to point out a new feature on the City Election web site, a voter feedback survey. I encourage everyone who voted to take a minute to fill out their survey. http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/forms/voter-survey/ As next year is a statewide election with higher voter turnout, more election judges will be needed. For information about being an election judge go the the city's page at: http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/elections/election-judges.asp And if you wish, you can sign up with the city using the on-line form at: http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/elections/election-judges-apply-online.asp Full disclosure: I work each election as an election judge.
