So we do not know when we vote... if they are really going to use the
money for the reasons given in campaigning.

I tend to think that taxation and spending proposals reflect the
responsiveness of the political process to those with enough money to hire
lobbyists in order to influence legislation related to taxation and
spending.
I am curious why state law governing the wording of referenda precluded
mention of the purpose of reducing class size. I am curious to know also
how people could be persuaded to represent the purpose of the referendum to
relate to reduction of class size when the referendum could not be worded in
such a way as to reflect that purpose.
Was this another absurd unintended consequence in the way laws about any
referendum such as this are written, or was it an intentional effort on the
part of lawmakers opposed to reduction of class size in public schools?
How can a proposal be presented to the public as an effort to reduce class
size when in fact there is nothing in the actual wording of the referendum
about reducing class size?
As a parent of children in MPS, I am very concerned about the matter of
class size. I've spent enough time with my children's classes to understand
the importance of smaller class size for learning. I strongly believe
(based largely on my experiences as a student and as an involved parent of
students) that small class size is not a panacea, but is an important factor
in quality education.
