The neighborhoods of the 6th ward are already very dense. Stevens Square is 95% rental. Whittier is 87% rental, Ventura Village is 87% rental and Phillips West is 79% rental. I don't hear people here complaining about the density.
This does not speak to the previous poster's concern: why is this proposal just for neighborhoods already zoned for duplexes. Let's say a person living in Linden Hills house burns down, heaven forbid, and the owner says he/she would rather have a duplex on the land now that the kids are grown and gone.

Additional density is not the issue. That such a proposal is confined to already highly dense neighborhoods is at issue.
