Here is what my queue manager on the zos side has. Coded character set ID . . :,500
It won't let me change it with an alter. Do I have to delete and redefine the queue manager? -----Original Message----- From: Nick Dilauro [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, December 02, 2003 3:31 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: CCSID problems Mike, Use CCSID 037 (US EBCIDIC) on OS/390 instead of 500 (International EBCIDIC). I think this will solve the problem. I am having a small problem. We are sending messages from an OS/390 mainframe to an NT MQseries box. The mainframe version of MQ is 5.3. The NT version is 5.2.1 with the latest csd. The messages we sometimes send from the mainframe have special characters such as an ! exclamation point or a [ right bracket , a ] bracket or the | pipe character. These do not seem to be translated correctly on the ascii NT side. Is there anyway that I can get MQ to do the conversion to the correct character when the read is done? Any help appreciated.
