Resending in plain text. Is this really necessary?

I did, and have downloaded it but embarrassed to say, didn't understand
how to use it to make traps.

Have a look on Kiwi Syslog Daemon, it's quite valuable for Windows-based
syslog and snmp-trap stuff..

Subject: [mrtg] Converting syslog to SNMP traps

I jave a Cisco PIX 515e that I am measuring the NICs, connections and
CPU on. And as I can see theres not much more to look at here with SNMP.
BUT, I can see from thew documentation that it is possible to send the
Syslog as SNMP traps, so I'm doing this, but can't read it using GetIf.

I am sending the syslog (informational level) to a PC and the datastream
is obviously there (looking at the network traffic), so now all I need
Is a tool to convert this dataflow from ordinary syslog to SNMP traps.

Any suggestions?
