Ok, I finally found the solution (thanks to Marc Engrie), so I'm posting it 
in case it's useful to anyone.

The trick is not to add the "LibAdd: ..." line in the cfg file. It seems 
that with the latest version of RRDTOOL it will find its way by itself.
