Hi all ... I'm kind of at my wit's end with this problem and not sure what I'm
doing wrong in the MRTG side of things. I don't do a lot of "custom" cfg files
relying mainly on the cfgmaker.
I have a Liebert 22 Ton CRAC unit in my data center and I'd like to use it as a
temp sensor for that part of the computer room. I believe I have the correct
OID but MRTG doesn't seem to evaluate/expand it right or I have something else
wrong in the config file:
Running the MRTG program yields:
env LANG=C /usr/local/mrtg-2/bin/mrtg /etc/mrtg/Liebert-AC-4-temp.cfg
2008-04-08 10:31:28: ERROR: Target[liebert-ac-4][_IN_]

'Ç*19773129' instead of a number
2008-04-08 10:31:28: ERROR: Target[liebert-ac-4][_OUT_]

'Ç*38089656' instead of a number
./snmpget.pl -c 'RO-snmp-string' <ip of liebert webcard>
.1.3.6.1.4.1.476.1.42.3.4.1.2.3.1.3.1
Returns:
.1.3.6.1.4.1.476.1.42.3.4.1.2.3.1.3.1 = INTEGER: 73
Persuing the docs didn't yield too much that would point me in the right
direction...if anyone has ever tackled something like this I'd appreciate the
help.
