If it's on a unix box check that some one has not turned on log rotation for that directory. Are there log.0 etc file there?

If so, they'd be deleted, and the next run of MRTG would recreate them as empty. If you do have such a job, severely. re-educate. the person who wrote it, since doing a "find / -name *.log -exec rm {} \;" is just stupid coding. It should be restricted to a specific tree that is known to be safe. Is there a reason for that? I assumed first because my .log file size reaches a limit but some of the .log files arent't even 100K big.
