10min intervals? That will be the reason.

The routers2 'intelligent' code adjusts for the standard 5min and less
intervals, but can be confused by the 10min interval (though the uselastupdate
should have fixed it). It means that routers2 is using a 5min interval data
extraction and this is resulting in the last sample being 'unknown'. I'll need
to see if I can find some way for it to cope with this sort of case, but Im
away on holiday at the moment so unable to access the code.

Subject: RE: problem with router2 compact summary

I just changed to uselastupdate=yes and it did not seem to affect the problem.
Do I need to wait for another polling cycle to know for sure if that corrects
the issue?

I am running routers2 v2.19. Is the value I used for the polling cycle
affecting this? I am using 10 minute intervals. Should I be using 5 minute
intervals (or longer intervals)?

Subject: RE: problem with router2 compact summary

This could be the race condition between updates and viewing that can sometimes
leave the last value as unknown. Does this still happen with the
'uselastupdate=yes' option set in the routers2.conf? Which version of routers2
are you using (the later versions should not have this issue)?

If your update occurs at 12:04:59 then any views between 12:00:00 and 12:04:59
will have the last data point as 'unknown' due to the normalisation effect.
Routers2 attempts to compensate for this but may not always get it correct.
The 'uselastupdate=yes' option get around this at the cost of having down
devices show the live graphs based on their last 'up' time rather than the
current time.

Subject: [mrtg] problem with router2 compact summary

I am trying to use the compact summary page using routers2. I can see that it
is working, because I SOMETIMES have data on the page. And some routers
appear to usually have data, while others seldom do. MRTG appears to be
collecting data correctly, because if I select the interface, and display the
daily graph for that interface, I do have data. But the compact summary shows
0's in Last, Avg, and Max. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
