If you use MRTG with RRDtool and the Routers2 frontend, you can set 'unscaled' on a Target, and then use the 'rescale' button to selectively display the graph in two differently calculated 'scaled' modes. This is not exactly the same as having the true 'scaled' mode but has the nice side effect of allowing you to conceal any data spikes.
