Can you recommend a good book from which I can teach myself Access Basic?
I need something at "grass roots level".
I was programming when machine language was the go! Most likely well before
your time! and I have trouble understanding the syntax of VB and Access
Basic. Considering where I come from, you can see why. Too fixed in my ways!
I like the way you write, have you written any books on Access Basic?

Another question from down under.
The Assets Tracking System I am developing in Access 97 is made up of
AssetsApp.MDB ... the application software
AssetsData.MDB ... the tables
I will be sending these MDB files, via CD, to a user who will be using
ACCESS 2000.
Because I cannot compile these files, a security measure I wish to employ
is, I want to set the "Hidden" property
of the tables in AssetsData and linked tables in AssetsApp to TRUE.
Is there access basic code I can run when the MDB files are launched to
set
Tools Options Show Hidden Objects to FALSE?
If, yes, could you please give me this code?
