Is it possible to place some sort of command in a field or on a button
in a form to tell Access to open up a specific document for viewing
and then to return to the form.

How do I tell Access in the form design that when a certain button is
pressed it should open the specific document to which the form [the
document for which the record is being created] is referring.

The form is actually being filled in with reference to the specific
document but the document may have to be called up when viewing the
form. An example: Say the Supreme Court has handed down a decision
relative to a specific issue, say defamation, for example, and the
form is citing a specific section of that decision in a memo field. A
field, "citation", for example, gives the bibliographical reference.
When "citation" or a button called "Full Text" is clicked, the actual
MS Word, NotePad, PowerPoint, Access, PDF document is to be called up
and displayed.

Thanks very much,

Harold
