I am making my project is MuseScore. It includes some fancy enough formatting
not to be saved successfully in xml ( why not? ). So, to automate the work,
I'd like to work directly on files. Is there a description of mscz file
format? I do not want to get the source code and recompile it, it looks like
to much work.

One of the probem I have encountered, is that I need to make notes for a
website and for printing ( I use 0.9.6.2 version of the program ). Some of
the notes should be gray. In works on printing only when I make them so
light grey so they appear almost white or in another color like yellow. This
of course is not suitable for web. This is just one of the examples why I
need an automation for. Of course, it would be the best if all formatting
would be preserved in xml, but unfortunatelly it is not the case. For
example fingering postion is not preserved.
