I'm no expert in the build system, but assuming that's the only 
difference you are referring to, it's not really a difference. QtCreator 
is happy to show you the UI files as plain text as well - just be sure 
to be in Edit mode as opposed to Design.  QtCreator should just be 
showing the files in your folder as they are - there should not be any 
different versions of anything, and definitely nothing to be copied 
anywhere, ever.  Just edit things in place with QtCreator, after 
creating a branch in git.
