It would also help if you explained what you are really trying to do here. I mean, sure, there is a sense in which MIDI output generally uses equal temperament, but that's not necessarily true - that would depend on the specific synthesizer you are using for output (if not the default builtin one). And there are certainly senses in which MuseScotre very explicitly does *not* assume equal temperament, but understands that Ab and G# (for example) are different notes - that's the whole point of the TPC mechanism. This distinction is preserved in transposition and other operations. So without knowing the specific context of your questions, its hard to be sure how to answer.
