Well, I don’t see any benefit in a 64bit build (except that it might be easier
to build for you, of course ;-), it’d just exclude all those who are (still?)
on a 32bit Linux, while those on a 64bit Linux could happily live with a 32bit
build.

On Windows we don’t have a 64bit build either, and presumably for the same
reason.

We want the broadest possible coverage, don’t we?

You're right (I read more)

How important is it to deliver a 32 bits nightly ?

Perhaps someone else could manage that? My script should be effective, and
could be used on a 32 bits computer.

My understanding is that the PPA is running several computers with different
Ubuntu versions and different architectures (32/64/AMR)

However I found that producing 32 bits on my 64 bits Mint 15 supposes that I
install the 32 bits lib, (see
http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=1311011) an installation which
was tedious for the 64 bits one, as related in my previous thread.

However I understand from https://help.launchpad.net/Packaging/PPA/Uploading
that building a PPA doesn't require to install both 32 and 64 lib

So for the next weeks (months ?) I focus on PPAs
