Hello all,
I am Ruchit Agrawal from India.
I am a musician (Guitar, piano, flute, vocals) and a final year computer
science student at IIIT Hyderabad.
I am interested in the projects with MuseScore for GSOC 2014.

I know the Ideas list is tentative and we can propose our own project, and
I was wondering if there has been any work done on using similarity
detection measures (by keeping a database) , where one composer can come to
know if a particular part of a score matches one by another composer, or is
very similar to that. This feature can also be used to support searching
for scores (say I remember a tune, and want to know which composition that
is from) , or using templates, say, I want a typical Alberti bass, so I
would construct a score using that template rather than entering all notes
by myself. I would love to hear your inputs on this!

Also, how much of the MuseScore NaCL has been implemented? If not, is it on
for this year too? I could also help in language generation for Hindi
/Gujarati/Telugu in case we choose to make Virtual Singer available for all
languages.
