Hi - I should have realized that was you on the forum!
I'm not really an expert on this aspect of MuseScore, but here are some
thoughts:
Right now we have no facility to load music fonts on command; they need to
be compiled in before they can be selected from the menu. I believe the
intent is for any notation fonts to be relatively complete with regard to
basic notation, and then for any needed glyphs that are not present, we
fall back on Bravura. I wonder if it would work to specify a font that
really was just the accidentals - if the fallback to Bravura would work
seamlessly for basics like noteheads? Anyhow, could also be interesting to
see if some other font designer has a decent set of basics but is missing
microtonal accidentals...
