Hi everybody. I know this is utterly off-topic, but are some of you having a good idea of how to create a smart internet kiosk.
I have been looking at Webconverger, and immediate it looks kind of promising, but the documentation is horrible, so just getting at bit further is impossible. What I am looking for is a mini distro, which automatically fires up a browser on boot, and also gives the possibility to read PDF, plus (unfortunately) Flash have to be supported. It does also need to have the ability print (this was very I really hid the barrier with webconverger), and there need to be some way it can be configured in a tamperproof way. Also it might be necessary to do some sort of user control (in these stupid ACTA, PIPA, SOPA, terror logging and other Big Brother aggression times), so not everyone can use the kiosk unless allowed. I have some ideas of eg. using TinyCore as the platform, and then making a small pascal program which can be called in a "secret" way, so this program can pass the relevant parameters for setting up the system. Any suggestions? Regards Christian ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Keep Your Developer Skills Current with LearnDevNow!
