Hi, And that is why I seem to gravitate towards FreeBSD as my new server and development platform. Linux is just a big mess at the moment, and the 1000's of distros make the case even worse. No standards at all, and all the current desktop environments are rubbish!
FreeBSD: fast, clear standards, consistent and very stable.
