If it doesn't work in a chroot environment, there's probabely a library missing, eventually perhaps some other resource the program is needing. BTW, in what respect does it not work? Doesn't start, doesn't load a project, doesn't compile, what does it not do? When does it fail? Are there any log messages concerning to the failure?
