Hi Martin,

We discussed this back in 2010...

https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]&q=subject:%22Re\%3A+\[MSEide\-MSEgui\-talk\]+new+default+project%22&o=newest&f=1

I want to know how to change the defaults that MSEide uses when I ask
MSEide to start managing an existing project of mine. You mentioned the
following:

> 'Project'-'New'-'From Program' uses the settings of the current
> project, it solely updates the project, mainprogram and exe names.

Is that still true? So I need to first open the template (which has the
correct editor and project settings), then do 'Project'-'New'-'From
Program' ?

The alternative I'm using at the moment is... I "exported" the settings
from one of my working projects. The do 'Project'-'New'-'From Program'
to start a new managed project, then go to Project Options and tell it
to load the Editor, Debugger and Options from that exported .prj file.
This seems to work well too.

But MSEide has changed / improved a lot, so just want to make sure this
is still the best way of doing it.

Regards,
