No problem, as I wrote before, don't haste. This only may introduce
errors and subsequent delays.
But I can present a new unit for your internationalization project.
You may retrieve it from my web site und the name "POtoMO.zip".
As the name suggests, it implements a converter object that can
translate a "standard" .po file (as produced by your "potools"
program and stuffed up as needed for an application) and produce a
.mo file useable fpc's TMOfile utility. At least, it does so with
the .po files of your podemo program, and after a cursory revision,
it should do it with the language files of your ideU as well.
Right now, there's not much in the line of error handling, just what
the components used provide, so some "interestung effects" might arise
when you try it out. (I like to state that "interesting doesn't
neccessarily mean agreeable"...)
The zip file contains the operational unit and a _really_ minimal
test program. Be sure to keep the "{$mode objfpc}", as that's
_required_ for the hash table generation. The hash algorithm, as I had
to find out, is _only_ implemented for this mode by fpc, which had kept
me searching and fiddling for quite some time...
As the "API" is very limitied, I decided that some short comments given
for each of the publicly callable procedures shuold be enough for
normal use, at least for now. If you have question, please ask.
Well, that's it for now. If you want to try it, I would be grateful
for any reports on it's performance or failures, especially the latter,
to be able to correct error or add useful exceptions for conditions
that cannot be handled.
