I'm sorry having to say that I'm not yet been able to address the
problem mentioned in the subject, as it might pertain to my stuff.
The point is, I don't yet have a copy of fpc 3.3.anything (I didn't
even find it for download last time I looked, albeit rather cursorily).
But I did manage to set up a kind of "demonstration" fpr the new
"mo4stock" and "formscanner" units, using your "podemo" program as a
template. I also applied the new version to your ideU.
For both "projects", there are new files on my web site in the usual
download directory ("podemo_formscan.zip" & "ideU_mo.zip". The latter
one only contains the files change from the latest version).
These files also contain a new version of the "POtoMO.pas" unit that
got a, well, work-around for the recent endless-loop-hangup problem.
Towards the fpc "typecast" problem - as much as I understand your
writing, that's not a simple typecast at all, but a full representation
change of the data structure involved - I'll try again to get a new fpc
compiler and test it against my code (although I don't really see a
place triggering such a conversion).
I'll report when I got at it.
