I dont know if benchmarks are better for msegui vs lazarus but what I am sure is that Lazarus is dependent of outside-widgedset like GTK and this widgetset is full of bug, crash application with no possibility to debug, for audio applications (deeply tested), has a much worst latency that msegui, the binary for same result is much bigger, needs much more memory, etc, ...
