2. If your device is only setup to forward traps to 1 destination, do you then only have 1 management server in the resource pool? 3. Is the community string used in the trap, the same that you have used to discover the device with? 4. Ave you setup a trap rule that collects everything, like the one in Holman's guide? Outline. 1. Receive Traps from NetBackup 7.7.3 into SCOM as the NetBackup Mgt Pack for 2007 Does not work as it uses the Network Device Legacy Class and not the correct Node class - requires a rewrite which is outside of my skills level. 2. I have used Wireshark to detect and ensure that Traps are being received and I can see the SNMP-v2 traps hitting the interface on the SCOM Management Server. 4. The traps do not appear in the Node- capture filter in SCOM? I think the problem is around the Windows Box Network Devices discovery and class (Node) but I cannot be sure any help would be appreciated.
