I'm having unreasonable difficulty getting this thing to install. The
installation instructions on the net at

http://mspgcc.sourceforge.net/doc_install.html

seem to be out of date, and flawed, since during the gcc install they ask you
to;

cd gcc/gcc-2.11

a directory which does not exist. I can install the binutils with no trouble,
but every time I try to install gcc I end up with the message:

# ./configure --target=msp430 --prefix=/usr/local/msp430
Configuring for a i686-pc-linux-gnu host.
Invalid configuration `msp430': machine `msp430' not recognized
Unrecognized target system name msp430.

Porbably I'm making some elementary mistake, such as starting with the wrong
source; I've tried 3.0 and 3.2 with no luck. Could some kind soul take a
moment to point out what I'm stupidly doing wrong?
