This is a script I wrote for a friend of mine, having a similiar 
problem.
I don't claim to be any kind of script wizard, so if it looks like garbage
to the pros, well, rewrite it!

        Create a directory, such as /home/msp430, place the script in it, then 
'sh
buildnew'.  It has one prompt, for the sourceforge password.  Just hit
return.  Edit the script if you don't want the build to be places in
/usr/local/msp430 (which is the recommended default)
