Hello and a happy new year, I using an MSP430F149 and the mspgcc tools for building a diving computer doing decompression calculations. The device works fine most of the time. But sometimes it shows unpredictable behavior. Since I'm no hardware expert I'm not sure if this may be caused by unused/unconnected port pins. So I would like to ask the hardware experts on this list what should be done with unused port pins? - Configure them as output pins and let them unconnected - Configure them as input pins and connect them to ground or +3V ...
If several solutions are possible which one is the best from a power consumption point of view? Best regards, Martin
