Hi Marco,
If you are using a notebook, a few give trouble. A lot of Thinkpads and
some Compaqs are the most common offenders. If you are using a desktop
machine try changing the parallel port mode to SPP in the BIOS. With
some machines this matters, with others it doesn't. We don't really know
why. BIOSes tend to be rather buggy, so this may be some kind of
BIOS-to-hardware compatibility problem.

Hello everybody,
I have problems using the msp430-gdbproxy. Everytime I start that program
I get the error-message: "msp430: Could not find device (or device not supported)
(4)".
It works neither as restriced user nor as administrator of computer.
Does anyone know, how to solve it?
My development-system:
* Windows XP Pro
* giveio already installed
* MSP430F149
* Olimex-Header-Board
* Olimex: MSP430-JTAG (at parallel-port)
* Command to start gdbproxy at commandline: msp430-gdbproxy.exe --port=2000
msp430
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Marco
