I don't use a laptop. I use a "normal" desktop PC (ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe mainboard with onboard parallel port). I'm already using parallel port at SPP-mode. With the flash-tool and debugging tool from the texas instruments kick-start, it works fine with that configuration.
