Thanks. I appreciate the recommendation.  I may have to order
one.

It's just _so_ annoying that I can't use any of the 6+ MSP430
JTAG adapters I've already got sitting around.

IAR EW supports the part fine with both parallel and USB
interfaces, but if EW can program a hex file into a part,
they've hidden it so well I doubt I'll ever find it.
