Well, there's not 64k in the non-extended range. There's only about
51.7k that (the current) mspgcc can use. So I'm not quite sure why
you're getting stuck at 48k/45k/w/e, but you won't be able to make
64k.

P.S. Sergey A. Borshch is working on a 20-bit version of mspgcc
(details in other emails).
