Hello William and other helpful posters, thank you for clarifying this. It matches the experiences I could make after the first posting: I am using Ubuntu 10.04 and sometimes it works using /dev/ttyACM0 and sometimes it doesnt. If I want reliable serial communication I will have to attach a separate USB-serial adapter.
